Ramadan Day # 15: Alhamdulliah we've reached to center of Ramadan today, we're fasting 15th day and everything is going amazing. Ramadan is not a month just to avoid eating it is a month when we learn better meaning of to be good with people, fulfill their rights and prepare properly.
In Prophet Muhammad PBUH reign, before more than 1400 years ago, when people of Makkah migrated to Madina, including Muhammad PBUH, they were homeless and had no resources to live on their own. Muslims of Madina welcomed them and put an example of a Muslim community where a Muslim helped other fellow Muslims. In today's task of 30 days of good deeds is to help a few homeless people. we couldn't set the example of bringing them home permanently, but we did try to help them a bit by giving them food for their Iftar. It was a different experience for Hashir to know that how we can help someone this way, specially because in this month he's understanding the reason why Allah made fasting an obligation. He understood the meaning of being hungry and got the feeling what happen to someone when he doesn't get a satisfied meal a day (though obviously he's partially fasting only, for a few hours a day)
As we're just traveler in this world and we're going to return back to Allah, whatever we have, belongs to Allah and He blessed us so much so we can help others as well. If we'll follow the teachings of Islam, there'll be not even a single person sleeping hungry in this city. May Allah give us tawfeeq to help others around and teach our kids the need of it. Amen.
