Dynasty Coach and RMT @jamescabbie hit a competition personal best this past weekend at the 2019 Senior Canadian Nationals. With a 104kg snatch and a 126kg clean & jerk, he placed 8th overall in the men’s 67kg class. Great work!#dynastystrong #weightlifting #canadiannationals

This week’s #womenofweightliftingwednesday highlights our dynamic mother/daughter duo of Melissa and Masami. Masami was a Crossfit baby and loved weightlifting with Melissa from a young age. The first photos show Masami back in 2011, then at Florida Street in 2015 and finally more recent photos and videos. Masami started with Coach Nate about a year ago. She’s now 14 and starting high school at Rufus King in the fall. Masami says this summer she is going to make a stronger commitment to regular lifting - so watch out! 
Melissa has been exclusively lifting and competing since 2013. Her first competition was in Denmark, WI. Melissa and Masami have been lifting together about a year now under Coach Nate. Melissa is a first grade dual language teacher during the day. She holds multiple Wisconsin State records in the 71kg and 76kg weight categories for masters aged 40-44 years young. She also set many of the masters state records in the 69kg, 75kg and 75kg+ categories before the weight classes changed. Melissa and Masami train out of Riverwest Strength and Conditioning and lift attached to Milwaukee Barbell.

Rm de C&J de 80kg. Este rm lo he hecho 2 veces y en la primera me salió perfecto el clean pero el jerk no, aqui no me ha salido el desplazamiento de pies. Por lo menos es mejor que el primer rm qje me hice de clean and jerk.

Where has this been all my life?! Well, at least the past few years I’ve liked coffee. 😂☕️ I tried the regular cold brew in this brand when I was in California last week (without flavoring) and I think I like it better than this one! It has a little more sugar than I’d like, but I rationed it out so I had half this morning and half this afternoon. It’s still pretty good though. And vegan! Win win. 🙌🏼

This is the first time in my entire life that I actually have long...natural nails. All because of working out and trying to stay healthy :) Now my hairs another story 😭 I’ve been taking hair skin and nails pills recently to help my curly hair. So we’ll see how that goes!
